After a great deal of soul searching, we have made the decision to take one or two years 'off' while we tour the world
aboard our catamaran, EvenStar. So, currently, we are not taking any orders - the shop simply will not fit aboard the ship.

If you're looking for inexpensive 'cookie cutter' furniture that has no character, Knots 'N' All is not the place you
want. However, if you love beautiful, natural grain with tight knots (the best grain patterns are around the knots), you've
found what you were looking for.
Paul, Knots 'N' All's owner-operator, began woodworking as a Cub Scout. His love of wood inspired him to take Shop in High
School, then, after he and Jeanne married, their budget didn't match their need for furniture, so he started designing/making
things for their home.
Knots 'N' All grew from that budgetary necessity, and Paul has been making fine furniture for over two decades. Over the
past fifteen years, he's been harvesting mixed hardwood from his own property. All of the wood is carefully selected and
felled with minimal damage to other trees. Then, it is air dried on his property. As Paul says, "Kiln drying is the fast
route, but it carries the price of washing out the wood's natural color. So, while I hate to wait a year, it's worth it."
His favorite part of working with wood comes up to two years after he chooses the tree - it's the day the wood is dry enough
to run through the planer. Like magic, he can finally see the grain he's worked so hard to harvest. And with that glimpse
of the wood's beauty, he decides where to use it.
All furniture made by Knots 'N' All can be used either in a heated or air conditioned environment as well as outdoors
without cracking, checking or shrinking.
Unless otherwise requested for a special order, Knots 'N' All only uses environmentally friendly, non-toxic oil finishes,
which can be used either outdoors or inside.
